Holiday closures
Labor Day is set aside to recognize the contribution of working people to the nation. Monday’s holiday also marks the traditional end of summer. The following services will be affected:
Mail: All post offices will be closed. Mail will not be delivered.
Government: All government offices will be closed.
Businesses: All stock and commodity exchanges and banks will be closed. Many private businesses also will be closed.
Libraries: All will be closed.
Trash: There will be no trash collection. Pickups will be delayed one day throughout the week.
Transportation: SCAT, VISTA and city buses will not run. Metrolink trains will not run.
