Winds Fuel Wildfire in Remote Region

Strong winds fueled a 3,800-acre wildfire Monday in a remote, rugged region northeast of Napa Valley.
Firefighters were battling the Rumsey fire near the small town of Guinda from the air and along ridge tops because of the largely steep, road-less terrain. The California Department of Forestry had 10 helicopters and seven air tankers fighting the fire.
It began about 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the north end of the Capay Valley, but was burning southwest toward the Napa County border.
Firefighters had no prediction about when they would contain the blaze. The cause of the fire is not known.
