Two Chinese Engineers Abducted by Militants

Four or five militants strapped explosives to two Chinese engineers kidnapped in the South Waziristan tribal region and threatened to kill them unless they were given safe passage to their leader, officials said.
The militants were holding the engineers in mountains a few miles from the remote village of Chagmalai. Security forces surrounded the area.
Their leader, Abdullah Mehsud, reportedly is hiding nearby.
