The Debate Over Who Won the Debate
I’m a Republican, voted for George W. Bush in 2000, and now plan to vote for John Kerry this November. I was completely and utterly disappointed by Bush’s performance in the debate. I’ve never seen such a sorry lack of forward thinking. Though I’m not a huge Kerry advocate, at least he sounded smart enough to do the job.

After watching the first presidential debate, I find myself even more convinced that Kerry would be a more effective and responsible president than Bush.

Bush is winning this debate hands down! Kerry’s dreams of the presidency are over. America is safer with Bush as our president, and this debate only proves that point more.

For a commander in chief, Bush sure didn’t look like he was in command in the first debate. As Kerry made a reasoned and, at times, passionate case that America is on the wrong track, Bush simply spouted his campaign slogans like a broken record.
Finally, we have an alternative to Bush!

Bush’s constant sighing and stumbling are the signs of a cornered skunk -- you can see this administration is all smoke and mirrors, and they’re going down fast. Kerry is a bit of a complicated speaker, yet he’s got intelligent plans and speaks truthfully, instead of the ideological hypnotism of Bush.

Kerry was strong, concise and passionate. Bush was, as usual, none of the above.
