Poor Security at Ports
Re “Ports Called Enormous Target,†Nov. 26: The claim that there is “easy access to the port by sea or land†is quite an understatement. There is absolutely no security to prevent someone from driving a van, truck or other vehicle within a few feet of some of the largest and busiest docks at the Port of Los Angeles. So much for Washington’s claim, three years after Sept. 11, that it is focused on preventing terrorism at our ports.
