10,000 Troops to Be Sent to Rwandan Border
From Times Wire Reports
Congo intends to send up to 10,000 soldiers toward its eastern border with Rwanda, a presidential spokesman said, after reports that Rwandan troops crossed into its territory.
A Western diplomat said thousands of Rwandan troops moved into the remote forested hills of eastern Congo -- an account supported by park rangers and local chiefs near the border.
Rwanda refused to confirm or deny the reported incursion.
