Search on for Americans After Plane Disappears
From Times Wire Reports
The U.S. military said it was searching for six Americans who were aboard an aircraft that went missing over Afghanistan. It said troops and planes were scouring an area of the Hindu Kush mountains, where an emergency signal had been transmitted.
It was unclear if the missing aircraft had crashed.
The civilian Casa 112 plane was operated by Florida-based Presidential Airways and was under contract to the U.S. Air Force to ferry troops and equipment, a military spokesman said. He declined to say whether the missing were civilians.
