Wearing on nerves

As a paying moviegoer, I found Deborah Nadoolman Landis’ whines and woes more than a little irritating (“A Thread of Respect,” Nov. 21). Whatever lack of respect she and others receive in the film industry is of no concern to me. I’m sure my local 7-Eleven clerk would like a little more respect too. Costume designers should deal with their concerns in the proper forum, not on the cover of the Sunday Los Angeles Times Calendar Section.
I’m the one who pays 10 bucks, eats lousy popcorn and sits through way too much drivel. Please don’t expect my sympathy because your name’s not on a Barbie box. I don’t care. You want my attention? Put your costumes in better movies and make the popcorn fresher.
