Bright nouveau traditions for a holiday table
Special to The Times
During this supersize-me season, we give thanks for big platters and all those wedding registry serving pieces stashed in the cupboard. This year, why not mix in a few new accessories. Jazz up the white linen with a shot of autumn oranges and reds. Have yourself a Jetsons-esque Thanksgiving with an Old World candelabrum made of interlocking panels of etched plastic. Or mix inexpensive contemporary crystal, cut glass, gold-trimmed accessories and animal accents with silver heirlooms and voila! You’re a newfangled old fogy.
