Galaxy Wins One for the Road, 3-1
Jovan Kirovski scored two goals in the second half, leading the Galaxy to a 3-1 victory over the Dallas Burn on Saturday in front of 6,755 in the Cotton Bowl.
The Galaxy (3-1-2) ended a 17-game regular-season road winless streak dating to 2002. The Burn (2-1-2) has beaten the Galaxy only once in their last 11 meetings.
Kirovski scored in the 57th and 65th minutes to help erase a 1-0 Burn lead at halftime.
The go-ahead goal came when Kirovski took a pass from Carlos Ruiz and fired a shot between two defenders and into the left corner of the net.
Kirovski tied the score on a header from outside the goalie’s box. Chris Albright set up the goal when he crossed a pass to Kirovski from the right flank.
Ruiz, Major League Soccer’s leading scorer, got his sixth goal of the season in the fourth minute of stoppage time when he got loose on a breakaway and fired a shot into an empty net.

Columbus 1, D.C. United 1 -- Ross Paule scored on a penalty kick a minute into second-half injury time to give the Crew a tie in front of 18,376 in Washington.
Crew defender Frankie Hejduk set up the tying goal by drawing a yellow card on D.C. United’s Brandon Prideaux, who pushed him down from behind in the box.
Paule then beat goalkeeper Nick Rimando to tie it for Columbus (0-3-2).
Dema Kovalenko opened the scoring for United (1-2-3) on a header in the fourth minute.
Freddy Adu, 14, made his first start at home for United, playing 60 minutes before giving way to Alecko Eskandarian.

New York/New Jersey 5, San Jose 5 -- Cornell Glen scored his second goal of the game in the 90th minute to give the MetroStars the tie in front of 7,522 in San Jose.
Glen, making his first MLS start, also had an assist for the MetroStars (2-1-2).
The MetroStars’ Amado Guevara scored on a penalty kick to make it 5-4 after San Jose’s Jeff Agoos fouled Glen in the penalty area.
The defending MLS champion Earthquakes dropped to 1-2-3.
Ronnie Ekelund gave San Jose a 4-3 lead in the 58th minute with a penalty kick, awarded when MetroStar defender Ricardo Clark took down Richard Mulrooney in front of the goal. Craig Waibel then scored his first career goal to make it 5-3.

Chicago 2, Kansas City 2 -- Dipsy Selowane scored past goalkeeper Tony Meola in the 73rd minute, giving the Fire (2-1-3) the tie in front of 11,094 at Kansas City, Mo.
Chris Klein scored in the ninth minute for the Wizards (2-1-2).
Seven minutes into the second half, Justin Mapp moved past defender Alex Zotinca and scored past Meola, end- ing Kansas City’s home shut- out streak at 439 minutes, the third-longest streak in MLS history.
