Looking Into Haiti

Re “Marines in Haiti Greeted by Smiles, Glares” and “Aristide Arrives Quietly in Jamaica,” March 16: So many questions about Haiti. Under what circumstance was democratically elected President Jean-Bertrand Aristide ousted from power? Who broke the thug “rebel” leaders out of prison? Who funded these death squad denizens and equipped them with modern weaponry?
So little in the way of investigative journalism on these and other fundamental questions.
