No. 2 GONZAGA vs. No. 10 NEVADA
* Site: Seattle. * Time: 12:20 p.m. PST.
* What to watch for: Gonzaga (28-2) has a standout point guard in Blake Stepp, but there is a disturbing trend in NCAA tournament games. Stepp went two for 11 in the Bulldogs’ first-round victory over Valparaiso, and is 20 for 76 (26.3%) in seven NCAA tournament games. It’s more bleak from three-point range. Stepp’s career three-point percentage is 38.6%, but he is nine for 49 (18.4%) in NCAA tournament games. Nevada (24-8) has an NBA prospect in junior swingman Kirk Snyder, the Western Athletic Conference player of the year.
* Key to the game: Gonzaga’s depth and inside game should overpower a Nevada team whose strength is on the perimeter. -- Robyn Norwood
