Victim in O.C. Club Shooting Named
The identity of a young woman killed in an apparent gang-related shooting in a Cypress nightclub was released by the Orange County coroner’s office Sunday.
Venus Hyun, 21, of Cerritos was pronounced dead at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, the coroner’s office said.
She was shot about 1:30 a.m. Saturday in the Fifth Wave Cafe, in the 4300 block of Lincoln Avenue. Four other people were wounded, three seriously, police said. All are in their 20s.
The gunman and two other men fled the club in a vehicle, but no description of the car was made available. No arrests had been made as of Sunday night.
