Oklahoma Routs No. 2 Texas
Oklahoma defeated second-ranked Texas, 66-47, Saturday night in Dallas to win the Big 12 Conference championship and an automatic berth in the NCAA tournament.
It was the second consecutive victory over a Top 10 team for the No. 19 Sooners (23-8), who upset No. 8 Kansas State in the semifinals.
Texas (28-4), which had defeated Oklahoma five times in a row, shot 38%.

OTHER TOURNAMENTS
WESTERN ATHLETIC -- No. 7 Louisiana Tech won the conference tournament at Fresno, routing Rice, 76-52. The Lady Techsters (27-2) won their 19th game in a row and will be making their 23rd consecutive trip to the NCAA tournament.
MOUNTAIN WEST -- New Mexico won the conference tournament at Denver with a 71-50 victory over Utah. The top-seeded Lobos (23-7), who tied the Utes (24-7) for the regular-season title, will be making their third consecutive NCAA appearance..
COLONIAL ATHLETIC -- At Norfolk, Va., Old Dominion (25-6) beat George Mason, 85-81, to win its 13th consecutive conference tournament title.
MID-AMERICAN -- Eastern Michigan (22-7) advanced to the NCAA tournament for the first time by defeating Bowling Green, 65-56, in the final at Cleveland.
MISSOURI VALLEY -- Southwest Missouri State (28-3) defeated Drake, 74-67, at Springfield, Mo., to win the conference tournament for the second year in a row.
AMERICA EAST -- Maine (25-6) gained its first NCAA tournament berth since 2000 with a 68-43 victory over Boston University in the final at West Hartford, Conn. The Bears had made six consecutive NCAA appearances from 1995-2000.
BIG SOUTH -- Top-seeded Liberty (25-6) defeated seventh-seeded Birmingham Southern, 54-41, at Lynchburg, Va., for its eighth consecutive conference tournament title.
ATLANTIC SUN -- Courtney Boynton made two free throws with four seconds left to give Lipscomb (20-11) a 64-62 victory over Central Florida in the final at Dothan, Ala.
NORTHEAST -- St. Francis, Pa. (25-5), beat Monmouth, N.J., 70-55, at Loretto, Pa., to win the conference tournament for the eighth time in nine seasons.
SOUTHLAND -- Northwestern State (23-6) defeated Texas Arlington, 78-71, in the final at Natchitoches, La.
SOUTHWEST ATHLETIC -- Southern (17-12) won its second conference tournament in as many years by defeating Mississippi Valley State, 68-61, at Birmingham, Ala.
MID-EASTERN ATHLETIC -- Hampton (17-12) defended its tournament title with a 65-50 victory over Delaware State at Richmond, Va.
