A slippery slope

Paul BROWNFIELD’S story about the reality series “Last Comic Standing” made me think of “Quiz Show” as well as the ongoing legal matters concerning what an “agent” and a “manager” are and can do (“ ‘Last Comic Standing’ Judges Aren’t Laughing,” March 8). This appears to me the tip of a very slippery slope of conflict of interest and deception on the public airwaves.
For shame, NBC. “Last Comic” is not only not a “real” contest; it appears to be a rigged promotional scheme that rewards connections and mocks talent.
