* A Fluor Corp. joint venture was awarded a Defense Department contract for as much as $500 million to build and operate power-generation facilities under the U.S. program to rebuild Iraq’s infrastructure. The five-year contract was granted to FluorAmec, which is owned by Aliso Viejo-based Fluor and British engineering firm AMEC.
