Brahms concert to aid unity center

The Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and the KIPP Academy of Opportunity Youth Choir will join forces Saturday at a concert benefiting the African American Unity Center.
Conductor Jeffrey Kahane and concertmaster Margaret Batjer will present sonatas for violin and piano written by Brahms.
The performance will be at 7 p.m. at the Good Shepard Church, 510 W. 53rd St., in Los Angeles. Tickets for the performance are $20, while tickets for the concert and a VIP reception at 6 p.m. are $50.
