Re “Three-Strikes Law Has Little Effect, Study Says,” March 5: It surely does have an effect. Because of it, there is no fourth strike! It may not deter the third strike, but it certainly stops the fourth, fifth and subsequent strikes. And no study was needed to figure that out.
