Visit Middle-earth -- the countryside where the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy was filmed -- on an airfare special from Air New Zealand. The Web-only deal, which starts at $848 round-trip from LAX, is available to any of seven destinations used as a location in the film series.
Travel dates are available now to June 14 and July 19 to Nov. 30, with a ticketing deadline of April 30. One stopover is allowed in Auckland, New Zealand, before flying on to the chosen destination. Cities that may be visited are Queenstown, Timaru, Christchurch, Nelson, Wellington, Taupo and Hamilton.
