Man Killed Was Disabled
The fight at a Buena Park Mercedes-Benz dealership that left one man dead involved two employees who were apparently both mentally disabled, the victim’s guardian said Sunday.
Police arrived Saturday at the House of Imports and found an injured John Steele, 57, of Buena Park, who later died. Co-worker James Bryan Morley, 33, of Garden Grove was held on suspicion of murder. Police provided no further details, and no one at the dealership would comment.
Steele, who washed cars there, had been placed through a service for the mentally disabled, said his guardian, Ruth Pennington. She said police told her Morley was also mentally disabled.
