* Desmond Eaton, L.A. University: Had 33 points and 18 rebounds in a 78-75 Western League double-overtime victory over L.A. Hamilton.
* Chris Booker, Sylmar: Had 32 points, 15 rebounds, 10 steals and 10 assists in a 90-77 Valley Mission League victory over Reseda.
* Carl Munns, Gardena: Had 24 points on eight three-point baskets in a 64-49 Marine League victory over Wilmington Banning.
* Joey Temple, Tujunga Verdugo Hills: Had 19 points as Dons ended a 36-game losing streak in Sunset Six League play with a 67-62 victory over Sun Valley Poly.
* Daniel Stew, L.A. King-Drew Medical: Had 15 points and career-highs with 25 rebounds and eight blocked shots in a 63-59 Crosstown League overtime victory over L.A. Foshay Learning Center.
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
* Leslie Collins, Rancho Cucamonga Los Osos: Had 10 points as nine players scored in a 49-39 Baseline League upset of Etiwanda.
* Natalia Lyons, Rolling Hills Estates Peninsula: Made the winning layup with 1.5 seconds left in a 58-57 Bay League victory over Redondo. She finished with 21 points and nine rebounds.
* Gynisha Gilpen, Hollywood: Had 29 points in a 57-45 Sunset Six League victory over Canoga Park.
BOYS’ SOCCER
* Ian Firestone, Calabasas: Had the game-winning goal with 23 minutes left in a 2-1 Marmonte League victory over Simi Valley.
* Mario Hernandez, Santa Ana Century: Stopped a penalty kick in the 70th minute to preserve a 1-0 Orange League victory over Santa Ana Valley.
* Vince Case, Placentia El Dorado: Had four goals and assisted on another in a 5-1 Century League victory over Brea Olinda.
