World Trade Center Death Toll at 2,749
From Times Wire Reports
Three names have been removed from the list of those killed in the World Trade Center attack, bringing the death toll to 2,749, which could stand as the final count, the medical examiner’s office said.
The official list of those missing for the first time matches the number of death certificates the city has issued for attack victims, said Ellen Borakove, spokeswoman for the medical examiner. She said the names were removed after officials could not confirm that they were killed in the trade center attack.
