UC San Diego Gets $30-Million Gift

The owner and founder of a financial services conglomerate has donated $30 million to support the recently established school of management at UC San Diego, officials announced Thursday.
In honor of the donation from Ernest Rady, owner and founder of American Assets Inc., the school will be named the Rady School of Management. The gift includes $15 million for construction and $15 million to be used at the discretion of UC San Diego officials. The gift is the second-largest in UC San Diego history.
