2 Killed, 2 Hurt as Car Hits Building
Two men were killed and two others were injured early Monday when their car crashed into an apartment building, authorities said.
Nathaniel Clay Williams Jr., 21, and Douglas Scott, 18, both of Los Angeles, were pronounced dead at the scene, said Lt. Frank Corral of the Los Angeles County coroner’s office. Lamont Crayon, 21, of Nevada City, Calif., and an unidentified 20-year-old Los Angeles resident were taken to a hospital, authorities said.
Their 2000 Hyundai was traveling at a “high rate of speed” when the driver lost control and slid across Central Avenue, striking the two-story building at 71st Street about 4 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
