Police Kill Gunman, Arrest 2 Men With Him

Police fatally shot an armed man and arrested two others in a confrontation Sunday, authorities said.
The incident began about 1:45 p.m., when officers patrolling near Lomita Boulevard and Western Avenue saw three men, one with a handgun in his waistband, said Officer Don Cox of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police did not release information about what happened next. The unidentified man died at the scene, Cox said.
