School Restrooms

Re “Campus Reports Ordered,” Jan. 14: Kudos to the Los Angeles Unified School District for setting some oversight policy on an issue one would think wouldn’t need codifying: clean restrooms in schools. It’s a sad commentary on our city that it has taken legislation, parental outcry and policy changes at various levels to clean up school bathrooms.

Now that there’s accountability on this issue, we truly look forward to seeing the results. Our children deserve our respect, and their health deserves this very basic consideration.
