Tribesmen Held as Troops Pursue Al Qaeda

Suspected Al Qaeda terrorists eluded Pakistani troops during a manhunt in a remote mountain region near the Afghan border, but security forces detained 28 Wazir tribesmen, officials said.
After the raid ended, four paramilitary rangers were killed when a rocket hit their base camp in Wana, the administrative center of the semiautonomous South Waziristan tribal area, said Gen. Shaukat Sultan, an army spokesman.
