Flyers Trade for Zhamnov
From Associated Press
CHICAGO — The Philadelphia Flyers acquired center Alex Zhamnov from Chicago on Thursday in a deal that sent center Colin Fraser and defenseman Jim Vandermeer to the Blackhawks.
The Flyers also received a fourth-round pick in the June draft, and the Blackhawks got a second-round pick.
The trade fills a big need for the Flyers, with centers Jeremy Roenick and Keith Primeau sidelined because of injuries.
Zhamnov, 33, had back surgery early in the season and has sat out 35 games.
