Council to Consider Fee for Multiple Car Owners

The City Council is considering charging a fee to residents who own three or more cars.
The fee would raise money for the city, encourage use of public transportation and discourage people from flouting current parking rules, said Councilwoman Miriam Hawley.
City Manager Phil Kamlarz brought up the idea at the Feb. 10 council meeting as one of several revenue-generating possibilities.
