Doctor Faces Fine for Buying Cuban Dolphins

A Reno physician is facing up to a $70,000 federal fine on charges that he violated a trade embargo against Cuba by buying wild dolphins from the Communist nation.
“I’ve admitted the thing to the government and am paying a settlement,” Dr. Graham Simpson told the Miami Herald.
Simpson, 53, has been under federal investigation regarding the purchase of six Cuban dolphins for water parks he owned on islands in the Caribbean.
