Re “N.Y., Protesters Wrangle in Court,” Aug. 25: So the mayor of New York is concerned about the grass in Central Park being damaged if protesters are allowed to step on it during the Republican convention.
Interesting that you ran that story on the same day that you had a front-page article, with photos, about how millions of acres in the West are to be plundered on the orders of federal officials who take their instructions from energy companies, many of which they have worked for in the past. How about we turn Interior Secretary Gail Norton into a Johnny Appleseed and make her scatter seeds throughout Central Park?
