Woman Hit in Crosswalk Dies Later in Hospital

A 51-year-old Cypress woman struck by a pickup Monday night has died in the hospital of her injuries, authorities said.
Janet Reese was in the crosswalk at Lincoln Avenue and Walker Street when she was hit by a pickup turning through the intersection, police said.
The driver of the pickup, whose name was not released, is cooperating with investigators and has not been charged, police said. Neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be a factor, police said.
