SEC Names Regional Enforcement Official
The Securities and Exchange Commission on Tuesday named Briane Nelson Mitchell an associate regional director for enforcement in the agency’s Pacific regional office.
Mitchell assumes a newly created position as co-head of the Los Angeles office’s enforcement program, which investigates and prosecutes securities law violations in a nine-state region. He joins Sandra J. Harris, who is also an associate regional director for enforcement.
Mitchell most recently was a partner at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips. He has almost 25 years of experience in securities and other complex commercial litigation.
