Man’s Death Linked to West Nile Virus

A 62-year-old Claremont man was the fourth Los Angeles County resident to die from the West Nile virus, health officials announced Monday.
Walter Sheasby died Thursday in a Fontana hospital of encephalitis, the swelling of the brain that affects about one in 150 people infected with West Nile, health officials said.
Sheasby was the seventh person in California to die from the virus, health officials said.
