S.E. Hinton, best-selling author of young-adult books such as “The Outsiders” and “Rumblefish,” will publish her first novel in 16 years next month.
Hinton’s publisher, Tor Books, said “Hawkes Harbor,” the story of an orphan who faces adventures on the sea, will be published Sept. 15. It’s Hinton’s first novel since 1988’s “Taming the Star Runner” -- and her first fiction aimed at adult readers.
