Arsonists Destroy Jewish Community Center

Arsonists destroyed a Jewish community center in eastern Paris before dawn, leaving behind red graffiti with menacing messages such as “Jews get out.”
Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin and other top officials visited the center, the latest target in years of anti-Jewish attacks in France. “France cannot accept a trivialization of anti-Semitism,” he said.
No arrests were made, but Raffarin said prosecutors would seek the maximum sentence of 20 years for the culprits.
