Wizards’ Road Victory Puts Them in Tie for First

Davy Arnaud scored his ninth goal of the season in the 66th minute to give the Kansas City Wizards a 2-1 win over the New England Revolution on Saturday night at Foxboro, Mass.

The win ended a three-game losing streak for the Wizards (10-7-5), who moved into a first-place tie with the Galaxy in the Western Conference. New England (5-9-8) saw the end of its seven-game unbeaten streak.

The Revolution took the lead in the 11th minute when Taylor Twellman scored his fifth goal of the season on a pass from Patrick Noonan.

Kansas City tied the score in the 39th minute when Josh Wolff knocked in a rebound.

San Jose 3, Dallas 0 -- U.S. forward Brian Ching scored his team-best 11th goal of the year to lead the Earthquakes (8-7-6) over the Burn (8-9-5) at San Jose. With the win, San Jose climbed out of the Western Conference cellar and into fourth place with 30 points. Dallas is in last with 29 points but only six points out of first place.

Columbus 2, D.C. United 2 -- Jaime Moreno scored on penalty kick in the 76th minute to lift visiting D.C. United (6-8-8) to a tie with the Crew (7-5-9) at Columbus, Ohio. The game drew a sellout crowd of 23,849, most of which was there to see 15-year-old United forward Freddy Adu, who played 90 minutes but did not score.

Colorado 1, New York/New Jersey 0 -- Jordan Cila scored in the 54th minute to lift the Rapids (8-7-8) over the MetroStars (9-8-5) at Denver.
