Calpine Says It Will Sell Gas Reserves

Calpine Corp. agreed to sell natural-gas reserves in Colorado and New Mexico for about $223 million.
Calpine identified the buyers as two U.S. gas companies. The reserves contain about 120 billion cubic feet of gas.
On Monday, Calpine said it agreed to sell reserves containing about 221 billion cubic feet of gas in Canada for about $631 million. San Jose-based Calpine said proceeds from the sales would be used to reduce debt.
