From Times Wire Reports
Suspected communist guerrillas demanding freedom for detained rebels in Nepal shot a policeman and set off two bombs in Katmandu, and kept up their threat to attack any vehicles traveling in or out of the capital.
A few hours later, the Cabinet promised that the government would account for missing rebels, who apparently have been arrested. But it was unclear whether officials would also agree to free rebel prisoners.
No serious injuries were reported in the bombings, but doctors said the policeman was in critical condition.
