Michael Jackson has decided to appear in court Monday, when the man prosecuting him for alleged child molestation will take the stand.
Santa Barbara County Dist. Atty. Tom Sneddon will testify in an unusual pretrial proceeding.
Reliable sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Associated Press on Thursday that Jackson would be on hand for the session. Also expected to attend are his parents, Joseph and Katherine Jackson, sisters Janet and LaToya, and brother Jermaine.
Michael Jackson is not required to attend and filed an advance waiver of his appearance. However, he made a last-minute decision to appear, the source said.
It was not immediately known whether he would be present for the balance of hearings that are supposed to last through the week.
