Man Sentenced for Impersonating Doctor

A man who posed as a doctor at a Santa Ana clinic and used the name of a retired Florida physician was sentenced Wednesday to two years in prison.
Rigoberto Camacho Alvarez, 48, licensed to practice medicine in Mexico, pleaded guilty in May to three counts of practicing medicine without a license and one count of identity theft.
Alvarez worked at the First and Bristol Medical Group between January 2003 and March 2004, treating more than 1,000 patients under the name of Dr. Ricardo Saturnino Alvarez.
