From Times Wire Reports
A passenger train in northwestern Turkey ran a stop signal and rammed into an oncoming train, killing at least six people and injuring 85 others, officials said.
The wreck occurred near the village of Tavsancil, about 50 miles east of Istanbul.
Conductor Hasan Yucedag, whose arm was broken, denied that his train ran the light. He told the Anatolian news agency that “the light was green for us -- it suddenly turned red as we were about to cross.”
