Re “Wealthy Americans Are Making This the ‘Year of the Splurge’ ” (Travel Insider, July 27): The most unusual and exotic programs are getting the interest. We found a huge increase in business to South America and India this year.
Although we don’t consider those destinations to be so unusual, people who have traveled only to the Caribbean or Western Europe might. Then again, those who have been everywhere are looking for even more obscure places -- Libya is one of our 10 most popular tours for this year.
