Schwab’s Message Heard Loud and Clear

Regarding “Mixed Messages Trip Up Schwab,” July 25:
Mixed messages? Nope. Schwab sent me a very clear message a few years ago.
After losing a small fortune in the last stock market slide, I found Schwab suddenly charging me new fees on all my accounts.
Like many investors, I felt as if Schwab was kicking me when I was down.
The message to me was crystal clear: Schwab no longer cared about the small investor. Only large investors could escape the onslaught of its service fees.
I took my money and got out of there as fast as I could.
