CBS to recruit minority staffers

CBS News will recruit minority journalists through a new program that every year guarantees a producer and a reporter jobs at local CBS affiliates. CBS, which is trying to expand its talent pool, said it hopes that participants will qualify for jobs on the network’s news staff after the two-year local stints, which include a mentoring program. The program will launch in January.
