When the work wafts home
Re Barbara King’s “A Traffic-Stopping Idea” (July 22), which pondered the “romantic possibilities” of living right by the office: When I came to work for San Luis Obispo 25 years ago, the water treatment supervisor lived just off-site in a city-owned house. My office and shop are at the other end of the pipe, so to speak, smack in the middle of the sewage treatment plant. I prefer to live off-site.
