Gasoline Prices Fall 1.7 Cents a Gallon

Retail gasoline prices in California slipped 3.4 cents last week to an average of $2.128 for a gallon of self-serve regular gas, a federal survey found.
Retail gas prices in California have now fallen for nine straight weeks. However, the average price in the state is still 43 cents a gallon above year-ago levels.
Nationwide, the average price declined 1.7 cents to $1.888 a gallon, according to the weekly report by the Energy Information Administration.
