EchoStar, Turner Reach Tentative Contract Deal

EchoStar Communications Corp. and Turner Broadcasting Systems Inc. reached a tentative deal on a new contract, sparing Dish satellite TV customers the possibility of losing CNN, the Cartoon Network and other channels.
The announcement ended months of negotiations between the two companies over programming fees, and came a little more than a month after EchoStar and Viacom Inc. settled a similar conflict.
