ANGELS TONIGHT
Update -- Lackey was saddled with his third loss despite producing a quality start in his last outing, a 6 2/3-inning performance against Texas in which he gave up seven hits and three runs. The 25-year-old has had success against the Tigers in his fledgling career, going 2-0 with a 2.45 earned-run average. Cornejo, like Lackey, is trying to put a lackluster 2003 season behind him. But after finishing 6-17 with a 4.67 ERA last year, Cornejo’s ERA has soared over his first three starts.
