Fashion show dancer identified

The “hairless Japanese dancer in a loincloth writhing around in a fetal position” pictured and described in Booth Moore’s fashion report (“That’s a Wrap,” April 6) is Oguri, an internationally known and highly regarded butoh dancer based in Los Angeles.

Oguri is a Lester Horton Award winner and has been praised in the pages of the Los Angeles Times. I am disappointed that your reporter-critic did not do the research required to identify this important artist.
